This policy explains how Beyond Horoscope28 collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit this website or order a reading. It is written to meet the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect
When you order a reading, we ask for the information needed to prepare it and send it to you:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your date of birth
- Your time of birth, where you choose to provide it
- Your place of birth
- The focus area you select for your reading, such as love, career or life direction
We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, through standard web server logs and any analytics in use.
Why we need your birth details
Your date, time and place of birth are the direct inputs to the reading you have ordered. Without them the report cannot be produced. We treat them as personal information and handle them with the same care as your name and email address. We do not use them for any purpose other than preparing and supporting your report.
Payments
Payments are processed by Payfast, a South African payment provider. When you pay, you are handed to Payfast to enter your card or banking details. Those details are entered on Payfast systems and are never seen, handled or stored by us. We receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, along with the order reference.
Payfast processes your payment information under its own privacy terms, which you can read on the Payfast website.
How we use your information
- To prepare and deliver the reading you ordered
- To email you your report and any related order messages
- To answer questions and provide support
- To keep accurate records of sales as required by South African tax and accounting law
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the site
- To improve how the engine works — we look at the charts we have calculated as a group, to see which patterns it detects too often to be meaningful and which it never detects at all
That last one is statistical and never individual. We study the calculations across all charts, not any one person’s reading, and we never publish anything that could identify you.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Marketing email
If you choose to receive updates or offers from us, you can withdraw that consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by emailing us. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect emails about an order you have placed.
Cookies
This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, including cookies that keep your shopping cart and your login session working. Any additional analytics or advertising cookies are used to understand how the site is performing. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the site may stop working correctly if you block essential ones.
How long we keep your information
We keep your order record, including the birth details you submitted, for as long as we need it to deliver and support your report and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. Where we no longer have a reason to hold your information, we delete it. You may ask us to delete your birth details sooner and we will do so unless we are required by law to retain the underlying transaction record.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection and access to the administration area is protected by login security measures. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- Ask us to delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep
- Object to us processing your information in certain circumstances
- Withdraw consent you previously gave, such as consent to marketing
- Complain if you believe we have mishandled your information
